Catalina update: COVID-19 and Stage 2 Construction
We certainly are in challenging times aren’t we. The changing environment in which we live in Australia and worldwide is dynamic with governments hastily rushing to put systems and restrictions in place to curb the rise of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases. Conscientiously maintaining good health and hygiene has become even more prevalent lateIy and the desire to look out for each other has been so lovely to see.
At Catalina, the health and safety of our staff, residents and visitors has always been our highest priority. During these unprecedented times, we’ve been working behind the scenes to ensure the wellbeing of everyone who lives, works or visits our community. We have implemented thorough preventative measures to ensure all touchpoints throughout the village and the community centre are consistently kept clean, hand sanitisers and wipes are readily available and continue to adhere to and encourage social distancing amongst residents, staff and visitors onsite.
Our display office remains open, but in accordance with the COVID-19 social distancing restrictions, we are now open for private inspections by appointment only until further notice. We’ve also unfortunately postponed our upcoming events and will revisit new dates when it is safe to do so. That being said, our wide streets and spacious home layouts means no-one feels isolated and social interaction with others can happen safely just by stepping outside the front door. Happy hour hasn’t been cancelled, it’s run just a little differently. More information from the government about COVID-19 can be found here.
In other news, we are excited that construction of our Stage 2 homes is still on track to commence within the coming months with the first completions scheduled for December this year. Along with our new health and safety protocols, our community continues to thrive and grow with Stage 1 now completely sold out and Stage 2 now selling off the plan, with 30% already reserved.
